Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews highlight a mixed experience at 256 East 10th Street, Manhattan. While the building boasts a fantastic location and some units with updated amenities, concerns include pest issues, unresponsive management, and maintenance delays. Rent-stabilized units with elevators and laundry facilities are appreciated, but noise levels, heating problems, and occasional flooding on the first floor have been reported. Residents value the convenience of the building but suggest improvements in pest control, owner responsiveness, and overall maintenance for a more satisfactory living experience.

Pretty good for the east village
Former Tenant
Pros:
management is very responsive. I broke my stove and they replaced it quickly with a new & nicer one. super/building manager also very responsive & nice, and he keeps the building clean. super nice neighbors and lots of people my age living in the building.
Cons:
only 2 washer/dryers which are frequently being used. roach problem multiple times, there is a pest sign up sheet but no one ever came on the date we signed up. broker fee is absolutely nuts, 15% of a full years rent

Floods on first floor
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet building on a good street and rent stabilized
Cons:
Our apartment is a first floor duplex and floods every time a big rain comes. We have had ceiling leaks, mice, plumbing problems, etc. with very little help from management
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive
