This apartment was in a lovely location in Nolita in a tiny building on Mott St.
Cons:
Management/Landlord hated doing their job and made sure you were aware. They billed us for maintenance things like plumbing and threatened us with fees every time something went wrong. In unit washer/dryer broke and they tried blaming us for breaking it even though we had the appliance technician on a voice recording saying it was impossible unless we did 5 loads of bricks a day. They said it was a "courtesy appliance" and not meant to be used for more than a t-shirt or two at a time in case of emergency. Management woman the most dreadful person to speak to ever, constantly belittling and trying to start a fight at this grown age of hers. Some of my favorite quotes were: "Wow we're not used to dealing with tenants that worry about the cost of things" and "There was no mouse in your apartment, you are just hearing things" (they later pulled a mouse caught from behind the washer the very next day). Steer far away from it, they will make life HELL. Oh also, we had a clogged drain and the landlord called me berating me and cursing me out for no apparent reason? Very professional behavior from someone we pay thousands each month to just own property.
Advice to owner:
Maybe don't own property if you don't want to manage property. Just a thought.
