Do not move into this building unless you’re desperate
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a quiet building, that’s the only pro.
Cons:
The landlord, Julie Rosario, is extremely unresponsive. The building has many problems; the intercom hasn’t worked for four months, the main door downstairs was broken and unlocked for months, there’s mice and roaches, the previous super was racist, the janitor is homophobic, it’s easily the worst place I’ve lived in terms of management in the whole city and I’ve lived in squatter occupied warehouses. I’ve never been so disappointed in a landlord and management company before. Tenants have been rigorously complaining to 311 waiting for the city to send someone to fix the various issues because we can not get answers from the landlord. Packages sometimes get stolen, junkies come into the building, things are falling apart, neighbors have leaks in their apartments, it’s very unsafe.
Advice to owner:
The owner should take much better care of the building.
