Good price for location, but apartment has big misses
Pros
- large rooms for the price - good location by major train stations, central park, hudson river, and good restaurants - elevator building - laundry in basement - responsive live-in super for any issues
Cons
- very limited sunlight (only 1 room has a window with natural light) - uneven heating. one room is a sweat shop during the winter, whereas the other is ok - frequent roach issue - they offer biweekly exterminators, but this shouldn't be a consistent issue that requires regular visits - paper thin walls. if you have a loud neighbor, you're out of luck. - kitchen has no countertop space - if you're into cooking, this isn't the apartment for you
Your average NYC apt
Pros
The best part about living here was the location. you're close to a lot of subway lines and access to downtown is a breeze. For my first nyc apt it did the job. and it was nice that it had an elevator
Cons
the security could be better, occasionally here and there packages would get stolen but that comes with most nyc apts.
