Loved the location and even the top floors aren’t that many steps compared to some other walkup buildings in Manhattan. Pretty quiet and respectful neighbors
Cons:
Super is unresponsive unless you email/text/call many times. My unit needed multiple repairs and on average it would take 5-10 texts to get in touch. One time I hired someone from TaskRabbit to do minor repairs for me out of frustration. Unit was pretty outdated and priced exorbitantly for what you get, but again amazing and convenient location

Pros:
Relatively quiet and in a nice area.
Cons:
Super hasn’t fixed any of the issues in my unit in nearly two years of bugging both him and the landlord. One of these issues is the oven which hasn’t worked since I moved in.
Hot water and heat are massive issues. The landlord didn’t supply us with hot water nearly the entire month of May 2019. The coldest day of February 2020 our whole building was without heat nearly the entire day with no explanation.
Ceiling fixtures randomly don’t have power and the super has yet to show up to fix them.
Tile in kitchen has been cracked since I moved in and, again, neither the super nor the landlord has fixed it despite me continually making them aware of the issue.
I can go on.
Advice to owner:
Hire a better super who doesn’t go out drinking mid day and doesn’t screen calls of your tenants. Fix the problems brought to your attention in a timely manner. Offer resolutions to issues like not having hot water for nearly a month.
