Absolutely perfect neighborhood. Always feel safe here. It’s literally a stones throw away from the subway station (123). Trader Joe’s is downstairs and so is Duane reed. The apartment is fairly updated and has a beautiful terrace. Building occupants seem mostly older so noise isn’t ever coming from parties etc.
Cons:
Noise Does come from a music school tho. If you are on floor 3 you will absolutely hear them playing the same piano song 6 days a week and sometimes it feels like it’s in the apartment. You can get by with playing your own music or just ignoring it. Sometimes they have the door open and you can hear the students and parents talking. They sit on the main steps often so you’re always saying excuse me..

Pros:
Great location near stores, subway, and bus lines. Management company is responsive and helpful when needed. My unit has always been clean and never had any pests. Other tenants are friendly and quiet.
Cons:
There is a music school on the second floor that has violin and piano lessons going all day every day which can easily be heard in my apartment. It also creates a lot of foot traffic in the hall which can sometimes be annoying.
