Quiet neighborhood Nice restaurants and bars nearby travel is fairly convenient Covid pricing made the unit worth it
Cons:
Rude landlord - will wrongfully threaten your deposit
Heating inconsistent - heat doesnt turn on when it is below 55 outside and stays on when it is above 68.
Building is poorly maintained - never cleans the interior
Packages get stolen - landlord claims camera does not work but would mysteriously appear when me and my roommate brought furniture and threaten our deposit if we scratched her walls (stairwell is not wide enough by nyc building code which made this impossible)
Mailbox was broken for a month before I had to fix it myself and did not receive mail for the entire duration - landlord claimed they needed the master key from the mailman to fix it??
No sunlight in units on the rear side of the building
Radiator leaked water for over a month before the landlord fixed it. Every night approximately a liter of water just all over the floors which I had to clean on a daily basis while waiting for a response.
Landlord will not fix holes/other small things before you enter the apartment and hold you responsible for it when you move out. (TAKE A VIDEO THE DAY YOU MOVE IN IF YOU DECIDE TO LIVE HERE)
