Cool layout but the ceiling/wall is paper thin
Pros
The best thing about this apartment is probably the unique triplex layout, but in reality, it's not very practical, they would advertise it as 1 bedroom but it's essentially a large studio apt because there's no bedroom division. We only have one air conditioning unit in our apartment, and during the summer, our bill can go up to $300 for just a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit.
Cons
The noise cancellation in this building is terrible. The walls are paper-thin, and we can hear people downstairs talking and people upstairs walking or slamming the doors all the time, even when they flush the toilet. There's also a rat and roach issue in the building. We've seen a few roaches in our unit, but quite a handful of times in the lobby area. It's a sign that this building is deteriorating and needs a lot of repair.
Advice to the owners
Please be more responsive to the residents and please renovate the structure of the building. It's ridiculous to hear steps of people above me at all time. At this rental price point, we would expect an apartment with high quality infrastructures, not just in a good neighborhood/location.
