Cheap, neighbors are friendly, neighborhood is quiet
Cons:
The landlord acts as if he is buddy buddy with the tenants only to jack up the rent ridiculously, never turn on the heat or hot water and has several times tried to verbally intimidate tenants

Landlord nightmare - otherwise decent

Pros:
Location. Nice cleaning lady. Buzzer linked to phone. Safe. Quiet. Nice neighbors. Window in back faces high green plants when the landlord wouldn’t cut them.
Cons:
Dirty apartment upon move in. Some Windows facing dirty internal “yard” between buildings. Plumbing and heating issues. Took a while to get buzzer fixed. Landlord very late to respond to issues - ranging from urgent to less urgent: expired detectors, hallway blocked by his personal items, drainage issue, installing new windows they were broken, etc. Also took way longer than average to approve my application AND increased my rent after I’d already put down no refundable fee /deposit. Also told me after I’d moved in that window ac Units not allowed.
Advice to owner:
Hire a super full time that can tend to needs of tenants in quicker and more effective manners. Be kinder and more responsive to tenants. Integrity and fairness: don’t raise rent after deposits or share important info before tenants commit like no ac window units. Don’t leave things in the hallway and expect tenants to tolerate or deal with unnecessary inconveniences.
