Near to Columbia University, but Broadway is extremely noisy

Pros:
Near to Columbia University; some apartments have in-unit washer-dryers. Management is generally responsive to service requests.
Cons:
Some rooms face out onto the subway (which run 24h) AND Broadway, not to mention that the building is right above a bar and the noise can continue late into the night. The rooms facing the subway / street are extremely noisy.
The building is also old so we’ve had a bit of a roach problem even though the exterminator comes once a month and we keep our apartment extremely clean.

Pros:
Laundry AND dishwasher units in the apartment
Cons:
The laundry unit is only good for basic stuff you don't care about think regular bedsheets and old gym clothes, but nothing fancy like your favorite blouse. RIP my beloved turtlenecks. Extremely thin walls. I cry at how thin they are
