Okay for people who just need a basic living space

Pros:
The interior of the units were generally renovated. My unit had in-unit laundry, dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances. Rooms were generally a decent size compared to what you usually see in other NYC apartments. The apartment also has rent stabilized units.
Cons:
The building has a cockroach problem and you will see them in the stairwell often in the summer. The roaches sometimes sometimes make their way into the units too. They market the apartment as having a new app-controlled intercom system but it doesn’t work and it doesn’t seem like it will be fixed any time soon. Overall, it doesn’t seem like management cares to make any renovations to the apartment common areas or the exterior which makes it unappealing compared to the other apartment buildings in the area.
Advice to owner:
Please fix the intercom system!!! And deal with the cockroaches. Also renovate the stairways/lobbies because they don’t incentivize any new tenants to want to move in on top of the other issues that I’ve already mentioned.
