The landlord and building super are terrible and dishonest people. They essentially run a slum lord building and don’t actually do anything to help any of the problems. In the 6 months I lived there before finally escaping I had to call 311 dozens of times. The hot water NEVER worked, and I mean never. Their excuse? There was only 1 water heater for 96 units. They are unresponsive to everything, dishonest in leasing contracts, and don’t operate out of a real office that you can even find.

Not for families
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent controlled, utilities are included in the rent.
Cons:
It gets really loud especially during the weekend, the walls of the building don’t exactly do a good job keeping outside noise out. Railroad apartments, rooms are small. If living alone or with a partner it’s fine but if planning on raising a family not the best option to stay and grow in. Building isn’t always at its cleanest
Pre Covid the building was fine and the neighborhood was good. Now the areas not as well off as it used to be
