Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 200 East 87th Street praise its exceptional location, cleanliness, and attentive frontline staff. However, issues persist with ineffective management, high rent costs, and delayed repairs, impacting residents' overall experience negatively. The building's amenities, like doormen and maintenance workers, receive positive recognition. Suggestions to improve tenant-owner communication, fair rent practices, and prompt maintenance resolutions are prevalent. Despite mixed sentiments, residents value the building's attributes but call for better management practices to enhance the living standard for tenants.

Great Building, plagued by it's older infrastructure
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, across from whole foods! The front desk staff / "white glove" staff are great
Cons:
Heating breaks often
There are leaks ALL OVER the buildings, especially if it rains for 4+ hours . We've lived here for two years, and have been promised multiple times by management that there were fixes - but nothing has been done. I'll say that it looks like they've finally started repairs, but they'll likely be done in 6 months (-6/2023)
Price gouging from management for me and other tenants. My rent went up over 15%, and I wasn't alone!
Advice to owner:
Please don't lead your tenants on and make fake promises

Cons:
Renovations are nice but paint is just layers upon layers and peels off So expensive compared to other buildings in the area
