Nice location. Reasonably priced. Elevator. In building laundry. Heating/AC is great. Responsive and friendly super.
Cons:
Cleanliness issues. Trash piles up in basement. Terrible smell. Roaches everywhere despite monthly extermination. Dead roaches in stairwell that never get cleaned up. You might be able to keep them out of your apartment, but it will be a lot of hard work.

Pros:
The neighbors are mostly very nice. Location of the building is great. Not on the main street where the traffic is on 8th ave.
Cons:
It is roach infested. If you dont keep ur kitchen in immaculate shape, the roaches will be attracted to your apartment and infest it. Not even pest control can save this building.
The building is cleaned moderately. The hallways can smell during the summer times and the trash compactor rooms are roach hotels.
Walls are thin. I can hear footsteps above me. And I can hear normal level conversations next door. Nothing is ever private.
Advice to owner:
You need to keep this building cleaner and you need professional roach infestation control. That guy that comes once a month is useless. If it wasnt for the roaches, i would actually like this place and stay long term.
You can literally see roach poop in the kitchen cabinets. Luckily i keep my kitchen spotless and has been manageable.
