I couldn’t help but wonder.. is this the worst building in Manhattan
Former Tenant
Pros:
Located near Inwood Hill Park, close to the A train, and on a relatively quiet street.( except in the summer)
Cons:
The worst property management company in NYC, literal slum lords. The building is always filthy, it’s only cleaned on Monday’s. Neighbors leave their trash everywhere and have no respect for the property, so you essentially pay high rent to live in squalor. The building is filled with package thieves, even after multiple complaints of packages stolen the property owner will not install cameras near the mailboxes. They do not care for the safety of their tenants. If something is damaged or needs repair in the apartment, good luck with trying to get it fixed. The super on staff is unreachable because the management company refuses to pay for his work phone. Call the management company hotline for a repair request and they give you the run around- always tell you someone will call you back but they NEVER do! You can go weeks if not months without getting your repair taken care of. When they do decide to show up to fix anything no one contacts you ahead of time and they send random repairmen to your apartment without any notice or credentials. They also never give notice of general building repairs, you can go several days without water or heat, and yet they do not give tenants any written warning. They expect everyone in the building to read their mind. I’ve lived in NYC my entire life, born and raised here and this is by far the worst building/ property management I’ve ever experienced in my life. You would think they’d like a tenant who respects their property and wants to keep it nice but they don’t care at all.
Advice to owner:
Shame on you CONCORD MANAGEMENT LLC! You should maintain your building to livable standards. I’m a hardworking tenant who keeps their apartment and hallways clean. I follow all guidelines and policies, your rent is always paid early and on time, for you to treat someone who lives in your property like this is beyond despicable. You should also update the way you keep information on your properties clearly your office is as a mess as your building. Also probably need a better working environment and staff since your property manager turnover is so high and your customer service representatives are ill informed, rude, and repugnant. You also should inform your tenants of anything going on in the building, lack there of is pure negligence on your behalf .
