Rent was affordable, apartment was good sized, elevator building, beautiful view from windows. Good schools nearby, local transit nearby, local stores/ supermarkets in walking distance, community clinics and nonprofits close by. Still has a sense of community and neighbor like energy.
Cons:
Dirty building (staircase, elevator, common areas, in front of building), loud neighbors, lots of roaches in and outside of apartment, elevator often breaks down, apartment repairs can sometimes take years to get done, management is non responsive.
Advice to owner:
Providing public housing doesn’t mean you shouldn’t provide humane living conditions.
