Reliable Staff, Poor Management
Pros
The building is kept clean and the staff that keep things moving operationally are just fantastic. If you have any issues with your apartment, it’ll be fixed within the hour. They are all so kind and helpful, and know everyone on a first name basis.
Cons
The management are sharks. I repeatedly requested they remove the forced $75 amenity fee during COVID as the amenities were not usable. The management took me through a 6 month court case trying to reap the $75/month I was not paying. There is a class 3 sex offender who lives in this building, repeatedly harasses tenants, and threatens to hurt people with his dog. I have never seen management address his behavior.
Advice to the owners
Talk to your tenants before choosing to take them to court without warning. It’s a costly process for both sides.
Great building with some serious flaws
Pros
We loved our neighbors, and the building staff is outstanding. The location is great. Our apartment was great, though aging.
Cons
The apartment itself was pretty great, with the exception being that the very high ceilings meant our heat and AC bill was...extraordinary. Central AC/heat would really resolve any issues we had with the apartment. The main issue we had was with the amenities manager who I won't mention by name, but with only a week or so notice, blocked access to all the balconies on the second floor for construction with no clear end date (hit: it was many, many months), and very limited compensation (multiple units got nothing, we all talk on the floor). When multiple people complained, they responded with bogus threats of litigation, and outright threats (!). It soured and scared all tenants involved. For this reason, I definitively can't recommend this building unless Clinton Management changes its approach to dealing with tenants. If you want to try it out...sign a year lease and just pray nothing goes wrong.
Advice to the owners
Be fair and professional. Don't threaten your tenants with legal threats or otherwise—eventually you may find someone with enough money to call your bluff.
