    High Rent - No Landlord Reaponsivenes

    Pros:
    Nice area. And nice super. People are nice (though not friendly)
    Cons:
    These are individually owned. There is one landlord that owns several. And you will play heck trying to get help with anything. The management company refuses to speak to you, because they only serve the people who own units in the building. You are literally left in your own if you are a tenant. The landlord makes it impossible to pay rent, plays games with subleases that are less then one year (assuming so they can avoid certain laws), and never fixes anything. Had toilet water from the unit above dripping for days. Currently have no microwave or oven - as both do not work. The microwave almost caught on fire. All for over $10,000 per month.
    Advice to owner:
    Do normal leases. Hire a company to provide basic services like rent payments.

    Beautiful block, building is old and overpriced

    Elevator breaks periodically
    Super response is usually not helpful
    Landlord is questionable
    Apt finishings are average
    Advice to owner:
    Be more responsive.
    Elevate the building features for what you’re charging.
