Landlord isn’t great
Pros
Location; public transit; original details; view; storage
Cons
Raised rent astronomically beyond what’s comparable in the neighborhood. Building wiring and heat are questionable. Mice problem. Packages are often stolen from in front of the building. Unable to buzz guests into building.
Advice to the owners
Cheaping out on repairs to the building and not fixing things like the heating system properly then forcing the costs of improper maintenance on your tenants is not a way to keep long term tenants.
