In October of 2020, units in the building underwent massive construction. We were told it would last 6 weeks. By late March of the following year we had enough, and asked to be let out of our lease. Our landlord, Kristina Leonetti, obliged and found someone to replace us. We left the place cleaner than we found it, yet Kristina Leonetti refused to give us our security deposit back. While tenants around the city were getting away with not paying rent because of covid, we didn’t miss a month. Now she Has stopped answering us altogether. We now have to take her to court to try and get our money back.
Also, it’s now October 2021 and the construction is still ongoing.
Advice to owner:
pay back the money you owe.
