    Older building with great landlord!

    Pros:
    Small but recently renovated apartment. Super spacious bathroom! Landlord is so kind and attentive. Her parents live in the building and her father is basically a live in super and really cares for the property and its residents.
    Cons:
    The staircase and front hall is a bit dingy but like, it’s not a huge deal it’s not like people sleep there.
    Advice to owner:
    None.

    Pros:
    Not much except the rent is relatively cheap and the space is large.
    Cons:
    The owner is unresponsive and he does not fix anything. The mailboxes are broken. The front door doesn’t lock. We didn’t have a bathroom door for four weeks, our oven didn’t work because of a gas leak and we couldn’t cook for almost two weeks. Honestly, I’m surprised it’s legal for the owner to rent since the building hasn’t been registered with HPD since 2018. The landlord is so old and he refuses to get people to help him.
    Advice to owner:
    Sell your building.
