Paid rent on time for several years. Kept A clean apartment. Management is terrible. Building is dirty and smells. Gaps in walls, floors and doors. Mouse and bug issues. High rent, gentrified prices is not reflected in apartment or management. Half of the apartment has NO heat. Leaks in ceilings. Tiny bathroom. Tiny kitchen. Windows look onto nothing. Walls paper thin. Can hear neighbors in building like they are in the room with you. Can also hear neighbors in adjacent building.
Advice to owner:
Clean up your apartment building. Because it’s moldy and smells like burning trash. Lower the rent. And stop insisting “market” prices with incredulous unbased rent hikes with no improvements to building and apartment. The bait and switch where you list price and say only security then require tenement pay security, first and LAST is absurd. It’s a crap property.
