We loved the apartment itself. Cute. Good for roommates. Layout made sense. Was cheap.
Cons:
Figured out why it was cheap… main issue being in the winter time the water hammer in this building is unlike anything ever experienced. It would shake the walls all night long and feel like someone was in the room banging on pipes with a hammer. After a few winters of being promised it was fixed, the same would happen over again. Had to get into a long battle with management to get out of the lease. Also had a few mouse/roach problems. A rotating cast of homeless living in the hallway and on the roof. Was an interesting experience.
*I would like to add that I have before and since lived in older apartments where radiators make a good bit of noise and this situation is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Advice to owner:
Fix the building.

Building is always filthy HUGE RATS IN THE HALLWAYS AND APARTMENT HEAT IS NEVER IN WHEN NEEDED building is covered in graffiti Hallways always dirty No superintendent on property Garbage always in front of building Packages gets stolen Drug dealers has keys to building Drugs sold in front of building Checks stolen from mailbox Landlord DOESNT DO ANY REPAIRS AND ONLY CARES ABOUT RENT LANDLORD HAS OVER 1200 VIOLATIONS DRUG USERS SLEEP AND DEFICATE IN HALLWAYS
Advice to owner:
FIX UP THIS BUILDING BEFORE Someone get hurt or killed due to YOUR NEGLIGENCE
