Amazing light, spacious for 2 people, thru-floor apartment, management is pretty responsive and reasonable. Super lives down the block and does trash & snow/leaf removal. Relatively quiet, pretty street. Centrally located - 20 minutes from everything in BK & lower Manhattan.
Cons:
Close to hospital, so ambulance noise is frequent. Infrequent but notable rodent problem. Have had mice and heard of rats in other apartments on rare occasions. Thermostat for whole building is only accessible from one apartment, but heat is reliable. Neighborhood is a food desert & not the safest, but far from the worst. Just not a lot around except housing.
Advice to owner:
Time to do all the once-a-decade stuff. Paint, refinish front doors, pest-proof, reinsulate, get windows cleaned, etc.
