general location is great. unit was very large and spacious
Cons:
the building has a rat infestation that is so far beyond repair it’s unfortunate. the lobby constantly smells like dead rodents, all throughout the day and night you hear rats running, scratching and squealing in the walls and we had 1 incident where a large rat was in our unit. the infestation is so bad that the dead rodents in the building cause our apartment to get infested with fleas.
our bedroom wall would constantly leak and the paint would bubble anytime it rained badly and the issue was consistently ignored by management. it got so bad that parts of the wall were so soft your finger would poke through it. we were disgusted to find fungus growing out of our wall due to all of the build up and moisture.
our ceiling started to develop a large water stain and upon telling management nothing was done. the stain continued to grow for months to the point where mold became present and still out concerns were ignored.
management is beyond negligent and they don’t care about the well being of their tenants. it’s mind boggling how such terrible people can scam tenants into moving into this building that is very much uninhabitable. our apartment consistently had serious issues from the moment we moved in.
we were so excited to move into this apartment that we signed a two year lease but we did not even last 6 months before terminating and leaving.
Advice to owner:
don’t own a building if you don’t care about the well-being of your tenants.

Great building!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central air, new construction, working amenities, solid wood doors (great for noise), reasonable rent, spacious. Small washer and dryer in the basement (not great for large loads, but good for emergencies). Dekalb avenue is surprisingly quiet. Roof access.
Cons:
The current construction project nextdoor used to be a house and the tenants would occasionally grill and play pretty loud music in their front porch. These little parties were generally over before 10pm, but could be a little unpleasant if you wanted some quiet. That house appears to have been knocked down to build a new apartment building nextdoor. I imagine the nextdoor construction is probably much worse.
Advice to owner:
Keep it up.
