2016 gut renovation was done right before we moved in, so the insides of the units were new and clean when we moved in. Nice appliances which have held up. Lots of recessed lighting which is nice (installed our own dimmers). Only 3 residential units in building. Landlord is reasonable. Large 2-bd units. Washer & dryer in-unit.
Cons:
Our heat bill is insane, which makes me think the renovation was mostly cosmetic. You can feel cold air coming in by windows and sills.
Advice to owner:
Not much really. Responsiveness to issues has improved over the years, and we really don't have too many. Rent is fair. Terms are fair. Our biggest issue is our heat bill, probably due to the unit below us never being occupied/heated. If someone moves in and stays, then everyone wins. If not, insulating the floors/ceilings might help.
