The super JR was very responsive and helpful with maintenance issues, and it seemed that the management did care about the unit. Common areas were clean and never had weird smells. Street was nice enough. Communication with management always felt fairly professional. Honestly a very decent unit and experience while we were there.
Cons:
The nearby C train wasn’t a pleasant experience (unreliable, dirty, unsafe) compared to many other NYC subway lines. The landlord increased the effective rent by ~30% after the covid deal expired, which made us feel forced to leave. The showings during our final months were packed and a bit cumbersome. Our security deposit was not returned until I requested it after the deadline, but then it was returned in full (as legally required).
