    LANDLORDS ARE DANGEROUS

    Pros:
    this brownstone has been beautifully renovated, but outside of its physical features living here has been hellish
    Cons:
    do not rent in this building — the current owners sunil rao and swati bansal are dangerous. it’s one thing to be non-responsive as landlords (even though they live right upstairs!) — my unit dryer was broken for about six months and they refused to hire someone to repair it, and they often neglect cleaning up the common spaces outside of the building of litter, as well as take the trash to the curb regularly, which has attracted roaches and rats. it’s something completely different to threaten and harass a tenant — on one occasion, when i denied the landlords access to my unit because they did not provide notice/it wasn’t an emergency, sunil the husband started verbally threatening me to the point that i had to call the cops
    Advice to owner:
    as my lawyer has said, you do not have the disposition of someone who could act as a landlord
