    Very bad experience

    Pros:
    The building is lovely. It’s a historic building in bedstuy with high ceilings and beautiful details.
    Cons:
    It’s really unfortunate that such a lovely space is so mismanaged. The house manager, who does not own the property, leads with fear and intimidation. She uses listings project and subleases to the tenants, with outlandish rules that she changes in a google doc when she wants to get her way. She has incredibly strict rules you must adhere to. But, she doesn’t hold up her end of the bargain. She doesn’t take care of any issues with the apartment. Don’t expect she will fix anything she says she will in the initial walkthrough.

    I’m so emotionally exhausted by this whole living experience that I don’t even want to type more. I’m am so glad to be rid of this place.

    It’s really unfortunate how horrible she makes the space, as the owners of the building, who live on the first two floors, are a lovely couple. They are just very old so have her manage things. I wish I could say better things but I wouldn’t want anyone I know to live here because of the atmosphere this woman creates.
    Advice to owner:
    Stop taking an advantage of people. Take care of the things in the apartment you say you will. Don’t bully people.
