Great community, terrible management
Pros
The tenant community is great. I lived there during the pandemic and it was amazing to see how neighbors came together to support one another, especially as management is an unresponsive mess. Transportation isn't a problem, as you're near a number of bus stops, CitiBike stations, and the G line. Plenty of solid bars, bodegas, and restaurants nearby, and you're also a quick journey from useful spots like the Home Depot and Blicks. Being on the border of Ft Greene and Bed-Stuy is great for getting into other parts of Brooklyn as well.
Cons
The management is beyond awful. Alma Properties are legit slumlords (Google them!) and act like it. A bunch of tenants formed a tenants union so they could actually force management to do their job. Depending on how you feel about NYPD, there's a station not too far away. They take over the sidewalk on the way to the train station, making it a more precarious walk than it should be.
Advice to the owners
Stop being slumlords or just sell to the tenants
Great space to live in
Pros
The windows are huge and the apartments are loft style so usually a lot of space.
Cons
The elevator breaks sometimes.
