    Overworked super

    Pros:
    Washer and dryer in unit
    Cons:
    The super was overworked and underpaid. He had buildings in Harlem and Manhattan. Asking them to make necessary repairs (like a leaky room or mice infestation) always made me feel guilty
    Advice to owner:
    Pay more supers, pay exterminators

    Management company is the worst

    Pros:
    Location is great and there's a lot of space, especially in the kitchen.
    Cons:
    1) Management company is not responsive, failed to return my security deposit, and it took about 4 complaints to get the leaky roof (that flooded my apartment) fixed.
    2) Building is only legally permitted for three occupants, but they had four. That meant that the utility lines were all out of whack and the basement tenant (the illegal unit) wouldn't let any utility companies in to assess.
    3) The front stairs to the building are cracked and likely have foundation issues and after years of complaints, only are now being fixed because of DOB violations.
    Advice to owner:
    Comply with Housing Stability And Tenant Protections Act of 2019 and return security deposits! Legally modify certificate of occupancy to reflect current units.
