Location, transit access, neighbors, nearby businesses, price (compared to wburg as a whole)
Cons:
Street-facing bedrooms are INSANELY NOISY all night due to proximity to BQE ramp. Woken up at 4am by a symphony of tractor-trailers several times a month.
No laundry in building (although laundromat across the street is great)
Management tried to keep my security deposit because "I didn't give sufficient notice that I wouldn't be renewing the lease" despite the fact that the lease had a clear end date and I gave no indication I wanted to re-sign. They eventually repaid me.
To that end--faceless corporate property management, no idea who I'm interacting with when submitting maintenance requests or negotiating lease terms. Bad communication, felt like yelling into a void.
Now paying less for more space in a cooler area with same L train access and a local landlord who I speak with often in Bushwick and am much happier.
Advice to owner:
Be more communicative, soundproof street facing windows better, stop trying to steal peoples' security deposits over technicalities.

Former Tenant
Pros:
- Rent stabilized - Great location - Modern unit / appliances
Cons:
- Flex bedrooms (not true units) - you can hear neighbors and literally everything they do - Rats in the apartment (even all the way up the 4th floor) - I blame new tenants in the building who doesn’t throw the garbage properly that’s why are rats have gotten so much more than when I first moved in - Packages get stolen.
Again I blame noise and bad garbage disposal and stolen packages to the new tenants this summer. Never had problems before this summer.
High turnover rate in this building. I never see the same people except for a couple units. It’s definitely not worth the price for the sizes of these units that aren’t even true bedrooms.
