You Will Be Harassed and Robbed
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near the J, M, and L. Pretty close to the city overall, but considering the trains you'll live near, have fun getting anywhere on time.
Cons:
When something falls apart, good luck getting it fixed. Went half a Winter waiting on the landlord to get it fixed. Also, no advertising of any room/space is always inaccurate and will tend to show other apartments in the building and even spaces that are not a part of the property. Don't know what that's about.
Advice to owner:
Care about your property. I understand you're too loaded to care but sending your young son to harass tenants for rent, during a pandemic, is not the move chief.

Just don’t do it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to trains (J, M, L, G)

Great rooftop views of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn
Cons:
Rooms are far smaller than advertised. And the apartment was in a state of disrepair. Owner is non responsive to requests to fix things and still raised rent. If something breaks, you are on your own. Smoke detectors regularly malfunctioned, going off at 3am when no one was cooking. We lost heat in December 2019 and it wasn’t fixed until February 2020. Laundry in building is old and doesn’t really work... it would take weeks to be fixed, if at all. Roach problems. Never got my deposit back and owner stopped responding to my requests for my deposit back.
Advice to owner:
Martin...

Replace the laundry
Fix the floors
Replace the heating system

Also, you following people through the building, chasing rent during the pandemic was ILLEGAL! We called the authorities about that. July
