Cheap, close to multiple trains, close to Roberta’s.
Cons:
Raw sewage leak in the building that went unattended for a week; overworked & unresponsive super, roaches; mice; shoddy work on the air conditioner that always broke down; when I moved in the walls weren’t painted & full of holes; lived there for 5 years and the heat broke down almost every year; multiple winter seasons I had gone without water for days at a time; filthy hallways; if we weren’t around to show our apartment to brokers when we were leaving due to our work schedules, we were threatened our security deposit wouldn’t be returned to us.
Advice to owner:
Take time to fix the apartment properly, make sure the apartments are clean before new tenants move in, clean and sweep the hallways,hire an additional super, spray for roaches to prevent them from coming back.
