Cheap rent Proximity to subway Bodega downstairs is dope
Cons:
Super thin walls, could hear conversations neighbors were having. Neighbors always throwing loud parties that lasted all night. Multiple times the trash was not taken out and would pile up so you had to quite literally wade through piles of trash to get to the front door. Front door lock broken. Had to personally manage dozens of brokers and apartment viewings in the two months leading up to the end of our lease, with management threatening to withhold our security deposits if new tenants were not found.
Advice to owner:
It’s clear this building is just a source of income and you take no pride or interest in the integrity of being a property owner.

Pros:
The guys at the bodega next door and neighborhood.
Cons:
There’s a cold storage warehouse behind the building with 10+ trucks with non stop reverse beeping every morning at 6 AM. It’s painful.
The landlords or “property managers” are incredibly unhelpful individuals. Be very cautious. You will never have a direct line to any one person, intentionally making it harder for you to address issues at any point in your residency. You will be taken advantage of at the end of your lease no matter how good of a tenant you may be.
Advice to owner:
Be less like what I mentioned above.
