BED BUGS - I’ve been living in apt 2R for a year & a half now, & I have had 2 bed bug infestations. The first time, I figured I must have somehow inadvertently brought one in, but this second time it happened during the pandemic, when I am 100% social distancing (I’m immunocompromised, so I have no choice but to be careful), working from home, no visitors, no travel, etc. The building old & not maintained well. There are so many cracks & crevices for pests to enter easily.
I’ve also had other pest visitors, including roaches, ants, millipedes, spiders, & mice.
There are also major structural problems throughout the building.
All throughout the winter, we’ve had ice & snow that was not shoveled for days after snowstorms.
The rent may be on the cheaper side, but absolutely not worth it. You get what you pay for. This landlord does not care at all. They are slumlords.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who will clean & maintain it. You should be banned from owning rental properties.
