Roaches and roaches and roaches. Not to mention, weird smell. Sewer-y. But constant unending roaches that are unresponsive to any and all forms of extermination. No one did anything to help.

One massive headache
Former Tenant
Pros:
You can pretty much paint, build, or modify the apartment however you’d like. It’s a pet & noise friendly building. Neighbors in the building are very nice. Rent never increased. Roof access.
Cons:
-Thermostat doesn’t actually work
-Front door is constantly broken and landlord refuses to fix
-Literally anything you call about getting fixed is an absolute headache. Usually have to call several times, he’ll give you the wrong maintenance person’s number, whoever is supposed to show up usually doesn’t, or will several hours later once you’ve contacted them a few times. Most of the time when they showed up they still had no idea what the problem was and didn’t have the necessary supplies, or would leave to, “go get them” and never come back.
-Landlord uses fake name, is actually Deodat Lowtan. Can typically be found on the NYC worst landlord watchlist.
-Group of dudes will hang out on the stoop when it’s nice out. They’re pretty friendly, but some of them won’t move as you’re trying to bring out laundry or other bulky items. Can get pretty loud on nice nights.
-Any bedrooms facing the street are noisy as hell
Advice to owner:
Get yourself organized, hire people that show up when they’re supposed to, and please stop acting like everything involved with owning & managing a building is an absolute burden when you’re collecting our rent each month.
