The overall look of the apartment is beautiful, high ceilings, big rooms with lots of light in them, the appliances worked fine.
Cons:
-The apartment was in horrible condition when we moved in, we had to take out all the things left from the precious tenants and clean everything up. The kitchen specially was disgusting. - Chimney wasn't properly closed and there were multiple water leaks and dust coming in the room all the time. - the bathroom had mold all over the walls and ceiling - everyone in the building had many packages get stolen frequently, including an iPad that I wasn't able to be reimbursed for. - 2nd floor neighbors are extremely loud, yell all day/night (not exaggerating at all here) and smoked to the point of the hallway looking foggy - During summer 2020, people would gather outside, light fireworks, bring out huge speakers and play music everyday until 2-3am, which gave me serious anxiety issues during that time - I was catcalled by the creepy men very often when I walked past the building nextdoor and felt unsafe walking by myself ***A man once broke into the building and blocked my roommate from getting into our apartment, they had to call the police and change the lock on the lobby door. - We only had contact with one person at the management company (Keter Residence LLC) and she was helpful but not very responsive so we had to reach out multiple times to hear back from her whenever repairs were needed. - When we moved out they took about 50 days to send us our security deposit back even though NY law requires the security deposit to be returned within 14 days. They kept ignoring our emails and calls for over a month.
Advice to owner:
Overall, it was a pretty apartment but absolutely not worth the nightmare that it was to live in that building/block.
