Very loud block, paper thin walls

Top floor apartment gets great light
In-unit washer/dryer
Verizon hook-up
Decently priced
Excellent building Super
Cons:
Impossible to keep cool with 15’+ high ceilings and no central A/C
Extremely loud block
Paper thin walls between tenants
Mouse issues (handled relatively quickly by landlord)
Building security malfunctions constantly
Door to apartment wouldn’t properly close for a time, free entry to unit
Advice to owner:
Fix security issues
Routine pest control
Insulate walls between units to lessen noise transfer

- updated apt
- plenty of cabinet space
- in unit laundry
- tall ceiling & ceiling fans
- great price for the space
- friendly neighbors
Cons:
- no dishwasher
- a few roaches, but nothing crazy
- loud area, but mostly weekends
- living room can get stuffy in the summer
- pet fees/deposits
- can’t control heat
- very thin walls
