Front door to the building has a camera and a lock that works most of the time. Close to trains and shops.
Cons:
It takes forever to get them to fix anything (ex. heat, hot water, front door buzzer, holes, rats in the walls). You can be the best tenant by paying rent before the 1st every month and never calling 311 to complain and they will still ignore you and leave you to find your own solution. Property manager is very rude and she will scold you on the phone for asking for a repair. Tenants are not allowed to access the roof so it is hard to enjoy being outside during the nice weather months. It's not safe to sit on the sidewalk at night because of the homies always hanging out blasting their music (crazy loud), the junkies (always wanting something), plus the occasional shooting across the street. The outside space behind the building is only accessible through the unfinished basement and it's just broken cement covered with garbage and weeds so you can't sit back there either.
Advice to owner:
Maintain your building and fix things in a timely manner. Don't leave your tenants to freeze all winter. Get rid of the landfill behind the building as it is contributing to the rat problem inside the apartment walls.

Pros:
Great location, close to transit, laundromat, grocery stores, restaurants, bars. Nicely sized apartment, large bedrooms, decent size living room.
Cons:
1st floor apartment - could hear rodents scurrying (wall facing the supermarket). From time to time there were flies/waterbugs/centipedes especially in summer In the summertime, street noise (music from cars/people gathering outside nearby housing complexes) can get loud well into the night even on weeknights
Advice to owner:
Manage basement more thoroughly, seems like source of pest problem.
