No pros to note, other than the landlord, Lim. He's a very nice man and a decent landlord. Very responsive and understanding.
Cons:
- This building is old. It's in horrible condition and do not even get me started on the bug problem. It's on a very dirty block, which is not taken care of by anyone that lives around. Broken glass and trash everywhere. Which means bugs and pest everywhere as well. - the "bedroom" I lived in during my stay here is not a real room. There's no closet space or real space in general. The wall separated my bedroom from the hallway leading to the bathroom, is not a real wall. It's thin and shakes and has no sort of padding to keep out sound. You will hear everything and people will hear you.
- THIS IS MOST TO WARN ANYONE PLANNING ON LIVING IN APT 3R. If someone by the name of Barbra Lee Grant is still living there, avoid her like the plague. This woman made my year here a living hell. Passive aggressive, rude, lazy and incredibly unaware of how to talk to people (probably because she's a shut-in who only interacts with her family back home) she is honest to god one of the worst people I've ever had to interact with since moving to NY in 2010. This girl not only had multiple guests that had extended stays (if you want to hear about how her family randonly "showed up" and stayed for 2.5 month in our 2bdrm/1bath apt) feel free to reach out so I can tell you the full story; she's also a "fake" clean person. This woman would cook on a Sunday and leave her pots and pans on the stoves for days. So long that the water in which she boiled things in, would begin to turn and grow mold. Food burnt onto the stovetop and plates with food left on the countertops (which would attract the roaches that lived there my entire stay.) She's someone who needs to live alone or just go ahead and let her out of work family stay with her, because a roommate she should not have. Oh yes, let's also talk about how she had covid for the full two weeks and DID NOT QUARANTINE AT ALL. She was so busy cooking witch's potions and brews in the kitchen to "cure" her covid (which also, as you guessed, stayed on the stove for a prolonged period), she forgot to keep on a mask and stay in her bedroom. During her whole covid stint, I had to wear a mask as if I was the one who was sick, because this inconsiderate girl was busy walking up and down the hallways coughing and carrying on. I documented my experience for an entire year and anyone who I'm close to (including my friends , my man and family) can speak to what I went through here. And if she tries to lie, bring up this review and watch her not take accountability and pass blame to avoid the truth. Don't let her smile fool you, she's awful.
Best of luck.
Advice to owner:
Lim, You should update the building soon and get rid of that dry hornet's nest at the top of the staircase for the 3rd floor.
