Apartment building/Managememt company from hell

Pros:
Affordable for NYC

Roach infestation
Rat infestation
Noisy beyond belief, and I am a girl who likes to party.
Dangerous area, and the streets are not well lit.
The rats have made a Home outside of the apartment building, so expect to trip over a few rats anytime you leave the building as they have nested in the garbage that is usually pressed up against the door.
Poor air quality I was hospitalized because of my asthma, numerous times due to the dust flying out of the air conditioning units.
Upon arrival, the floors were still black, and the air conditioning units were also black as well when mentioning to the landlord, they said that we were responsible for cleaning up the last tenants mess.
There was a dead mouse behind my fridge. The first day I moved in.
Mold in the air conditioner. Had to call 311 to help out with the issue because the management company had several violations that weren’t documented.
Not to mention, they stole my security deposit.
Advice to owner:
Listen to your tenants when issues arise

Pros:
Smaller unit, only 10 units, 2 on each level.
Rooftop Access, virtual intercom, and laundry basement level, very close/walking distance to both L and M trains.
Cons:
Where do I start, I lived on the 4th floor...

When I first moved in--there was a leak above my ceiling that was directly over my bed, that was fun. Since the unit upstairs had a private terrace the water would drain slow on snowy/rainy days. It took management over 2 months to fix it properly.

There was no proper screens in my bathroom so I had to call for that and, ants were coming from the baseboard and had to DIY and cock my own room.

Let's get to the noise level. IT WAS THE REASON I BROKE MY LEASE. I'm talking about the ppl not inside the building, (no complaints), there was a big group of people from across the street who constantly play music from as early as 11am to 5am in next morning (20+ hours on and off), blasting music from the car, laughing and yelling, trash everywhere the next day and would invite their friends to double park and join in the action-- so in comes the constant honking from blocking traffic.

2020 it got really bad cause many of the ppl who I see everyday were not working, so things got worse. There were a handful of sleep-ness nights to the point I had to pull all nighters cause I couldn't sleep. Imagine trying to sleep in a club, thats how loud it was, seriously. A couple of times I slept with my beats headphones and played white noise at a high volume.

There was also bugs and rats that made their appearance for the 1st time in 2020. That was a mission --getting everything completely sealed.

But the noise took me over the edge, when you come home and can't get any peace and hope that you can get some sleep and effected your mood day after day, I reached my breaking point, and forget trying to nap during the day.

So I broke my lease, and left, which management was very helpful with (shockingly), and yes I got my deposit!
Advice to owner:
Get it together! Lower the rent due to noise, and clean up the units, major walk-throughs, fix the front door, and take accountability for your building.
