The appliances are new and there’s rooftop access which is a nice amenity but everything else is off, kind of like the landlord.
Cons:
The apartments are laid out so weirdly. It’s clear this building was cheaply built. There’s also a lot of false advertisement - they say there’s balcony access but it’s essentially a fire escape and it feels like you’re standing on spikes the way they built it. They say in unit laundry but it’s in the building and it’s one machine that costs 3x the laundromat would. There’s really nothing spectacular. The landlord is clearly very greedy too. The family won the lottery and they’re trying to get 10%-30% rent increases even though they don’t need it. Just wild. Wouldn’t recommend to be honest. Not the worst apartment but nowadays there’s a lot more being offered.
Advice to owner:
Provide the truth about what amenities are available and stop using that creepy realtor

77 Weirfield Street
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s nice a looking modern renovation building and the block is semi quiet. Building owner is nice and well intentioned.
Cons:
Aluminum studs throughout meaning lots of reverberations. Very easy to hear your neighbors in the building. The front door is very loud, slams, buzzes and can be heard anytime someone enters the building, at all hours of the night, & can be heard unless you live in the back of the building. The front entrance is very noisy in general and could use a rug/runner or something to mitigate the noise. As previously stated the owner is nice & polite but communication can be shoddy if he doesn’t deem your concern valid. I’ve left voicemails and sent texts about things that would never get a response, and others that got immediate responses.
Advice to owner:
Do something about the entrance doors slamming shut so loudly they shake the building, & put a carpet in the hallway entrance. Also if you ever buy another building stick with fully concrete steps the floating steps vibrate and shake/rattle the entire front of the building.
