Great location, rental price isn’t bad for South Slope, cuts of the apartments are awkward, but spacious. Landlord didn’t make us sign another lease after the first year, so we were paying month to month and we could basically move anytime we wanted as long as we gave him a heads up. However, this arrangement can also be risky as it didn’t give us any protections as tenants.
Cons:
The landlord doubles as the super and stays in the basement occasionally. He never fixes anything, is hard to reach, unpleasant to deal with, and refused to give our deposit back! Had to send him a letter from our lawyer.
