Commercial studio spaces
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a beautiful building and there are many interesting creative studios here.
Cons:
The landlord here they raises the rent significantly year after year, tack on fees every chance they get, and refused to give anyone a break during COVID when all businesses in this building had to shut down due to the state mandate. Not worth the price.
Advice to owner:
Show some humanity.

Worst Landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location and they know it.
Cons:
Absolutely awful landlords who are rude, mean spirited, and run shoddy buildings. These people have been so cruel to small businesses during the pandemic. They are the epitome of what is wrong with nyc landlords, piling on bogus legal fees into artists and community businesses struggling with a pandemic. No empathy, no kindness, no sense of morality.
Advice to owner:
Being a good person is not so difficult and might actually get you to keep your tenants.
