Welcome to NYC

Pros

Location was ideal, although it change from south slope to center slope during the time we were there.

Cons

Landlords response to fix anything was non existent until we had to threaten or go to the city. Our bathroom ceiling caved in 3 times due to poor pipe maintenance. So they patched it twice with a garbage bag and plastered it shut. So temporary fixes were to go to. Huge water bubbles developed on the ceiling and walls, making the paint sag. One time on Easter weekend, this happened in the common hall area, and we were all forced outside. The basement door was always locked when the city came to inspect. Not sure who owns the building now, but if it’s the same guy, I’m not sure how it is. Just one of those NYC slumlords at the time.

Advice to the owners

Don’t do that to your tenants.
