Was newly renovated when I moved in. Super was pretty responsive.
Cons:
Heat was a bit weak on the coldest days. And a few times the heat went out in the winter (though, landlord did provide space heaters and allowed us to take higher electric bill out of rent.) Street noise can be pretty loud at night! Coffee shop downstairs can also get loud at night (though they tried to be keep it down, sometimes they would forget).

Cheap, decent sized rooms, nice neighborhood, good water pressure
Cons:
Major hot water problems when things got very cold and it took a couple days to resolve. Old appliances
