Outdoor space in the backyard and a good Rooftop view

Nice building, great area, less than ideal property managers

Pros:
It's a very new building that's kept quite clean. Each floor has a garbage chute so trash disposal is very easy. Apartments get an amazing amount of light and the water pressure is great. Also has a very large elevator for easy move-in/out. Nice common backyard space that they have continually upgraded -- in addition to private balconies in each apartment. Property managers didn't hassle us over minor damage re: security deposit, which I appreciated.
Cons:
Heat and A/C are both electric which was incredibly expensive in the summer and winter months. My apartment was a duplex so that meant heating or cooling 2 zones -- which meant even higher expenses. Kitchen appliances were a bit lacking -- the stove was a weak electric one and the dishwasher was tiny. The owners/managers of the building were not very responsive. The few times I asked for something to be addressed (ceiling fan randomly turning on and off) it was not addressed. When I needed a reference letter to submit an application for my next apartment (which was incredibly time sensitive) it took several days to get them on the phone and then several days more to receive the letter.

Be more responsive/accessible to your tenants
