So to me the pros are, it's a new build, updated appliances, big beautiful windows.. and that's about it.
Cons:
Now for the cons.... this place is disgusting! Let's start from when I came to view the place. I opened the bathroom cabinet and there was dead roaches inside, I then showed the realtor them and she said "I don't think those are roaches. I haven't heard of this building having a problem" So I payed it no mind, thinking maybe that was just all that there was to it. Fast forward to the process of me getting the apartment, I asked for the place to be bug bombed just incase there was a problem, which they then agreed to do it and also said they would have it cleaned for us. The day before my move in day I was able to pick up my keys and had my family come with me to do some "light cleaning" before we actually moved in. " Light cleaning", was an understatement. This place was filthy! Dead roaches literally EVERYWHERE!! I couldn't believe it. Mind you they said they would have it cleaned before we moved in but they obviously didn't because those same dead roaches that we seen in the viewing was STILL THERE. The day went from just an easy few hours of cleaning, to full blown mask, gloves, tons of bleach. I remember getting there at 1pm and we didn't leave until 4am smh. By the time I got home my fingers were blue from all the chemicals. As for living here now, there's roaches everywhere! From the kitchen, to the bathroom, bedroom, to them being in the fridge! We can't get a break! I can't even tell you how many times I've complained about this issue, it's not like they aren't trying to help though, so I will give them that. But unfortunately its not enough, We've had two exterminators come out and there's still an issue. And I know its not just this apartment because I've seen them in the hallway, and in the downstairs laundry room. So this building obviously has a huge issue on their hands. It took us moving here and complaining for them to even implement a monthly exterminator visit , I'm not too sure how others like living , but I for one refuse to deal with this for the remainder of my lease.
