Cozy building with enormous communal back courtyard that you can basically do whatever you want in. Central air and heat, and you also can't hear a single thing from your neighbors. Modern amenities.
Cons:
Do not rely on management to fix any major issues with your apartment. My partner and I have had uprooted flooring for the majority of our one year lease. After the floor rose up three inches out of the ground, they came to repair it in one month, which is fine. However, almost immediately upon fixing, it started to warp and uproot again in various places. Main cause is water damage from an unknown source. 6 months went by of submitting ticket requests, emailing, and sending physical letters. It wasn't until we withheld rent that they finally came. The kicker is that they only provided a temporary fix of a large 3x3 ft square of unfinished and uneven plywood in the middle of our floor which is still here to this day. Reason being is because they still don't know where the water damage is coming from and promised they would be back to fix it permanently. That was December. It is now March, and we have still not paid rent since November. After all of this, including a recent visit from 311 to light a fire under their ass, they still wont talk to us. We have even stated numerous times that we are willing to pay a portion of rent, but absolutely not the full amount, and would love to work on an agreement. Nothing. As of now, the plywood remains, and warping can be felt and seen on the floor all through the kitchen and making its way to the living room. Mind you, this has all happened while we worked remotely at home for an entire pandemic. We are very excited to finally be leaving.
Advice to owner:
Do not ignore tenants during a pandemic.
